The old whisky galore comedy is worth watching haven't seen the new one.

What was the train accident

It was simply a "refrigerated" rail car loaded with whiskey that was used to keep it from freezing during transit. The control system, in an effort to save money, would turn off the diesel generator when not needed for power to run the heating/cooling system. After reaching setpoint in a warmer region it failed to start again in a much, MUCH, colder region followed by a long transit delay resulting in the mass freezing of something like 100 tons of Whiskey.

Jack Daniels? Is that the stuff you have to put ice in it before it's drinkable?

Politicians like to panic, they need activity. It is their substitute for achievement.

No, that's Southern Comfort. Jack Daniels is smooth compared to Southern Comfort.

Personally, I prefer Rum, Bacardi Gold, if I can get it.

Eh whisky freezes below -20 deg C.

If its domestic and getting shipped towards trade outlets then its out of bond and the tax will have been paid hence the 4 million for 100 tons.

100 tons is about 91000 ltrs which puts it at over 40 bucks per ltr seems about right.
