The largest symbolic thread NX has is 4".
I need a bigger size. I work on huge mining machines.
Is there a way to specify a custom symbolic thread in NX ?

You should be able to check "Manual Input", and type in whatever thread dimensions you need.

The ability to create a 'manual thread' was removed from a release after NX12 (can't remember which one), but you definitely can't do it in NX1961.
The only way is to edit the thread tables file, to add the custom thread you want to create.
I would suggest logging an Enhancement Request with Siemens about this, as I've logged them for my customers that want the functionality back.
Hopefully enough users do the same and it will be added back.

I wonder if that person who took the decision to remove the manual input has ever worked in the manufacturing industry ?
"No, nobody will ever use special threads , nope, will not happen."
Considering Siemens trying to capture a piece of the Shipbuilding market this is a very odd choice.

Thank you very much for your responses.
The shaft that I am working on is huge, and weighs over 100,000 lbs. The external thread is cut with a lathe so it is not like a special die would need to be made.
