Hi, I am designing a keel for a racing sailboat, specifying ASTM A514 steel. I see that there are a number of grades available. How do they differ and which is best for the application?

Also, what would be the best weld rod, for welding, A514 to A514 plate (1/2" typ)

A514 to Nitronic 50 stainless steel, annealed. The bolts will be Nitronic 50.
