I would like to plot 3 dimensional graph in abaqus in which z axis represent the stress and x represent the distance of selected elementss in x direction and y represent the selected elements distance in elements inward direction (both x and y axes represent s the distance of selected elements in x and y direction ) and z axis represent the stresses.....As just shown in the picture....How could i extract the data of mises along with x y and z coordinates plot it on python matplotlib.just the curve as shown in the picture.

You can use Report —> Field output or Probe values tool to export data from Abaqus. The COORD variable will give you the coordinates that you want.

Acually now i request the coord variable in request output file,,,, But when i go probe values there are two options on nodes and on elements ,,,,,COORD is only giving me the COORD 1 COORD 2 and COORD 3 values only on nodes,,,,,but it is not giving me the coord values on elements ,,,can somebody suggest me how to obtained the values coord values on elements....?

As far as the stress are concerned probe option is giving the values of mises both at nodes and elements....please comments how could i get values of coord on elements.

also probe values writing to the file can i store data in txt file or excel file it is now writing data to abaqus.rpt file?

When you select COORD for output in Abaqus/CAE, you get nodal coordinates. If you need the elemental (integration point) ones, you have to manually add this variable to the input file.

The rpt file can be opened using any text editor such as notepad. Then you might save the data in other format.

thnaks for your answer....but please can you explain how could i manually add the variable to the input file ? do you mean .cae file?

No, .inp file but you can also use built-in Keyword Editor to add the necessary lines. Anyway, the syntax is:

*Element output
COORD
