Hi,
Can anybody advise on a racking out issue that I have with two SACE E6 breakers? To insert the racking out handle a shutter has to be dropped to allow the handle to be engaged; a standard arrangement in many switches. According to the SACE manual this is achieved by pulling down on a small release lever (bottom centre of breaker). My problem is that on both these breakers the levers appear to be locked into position. The breakers are off but charged. I have spoken to ABB service Dept and they say the lever should be free moving.
There is no interlock fitted i.e. key/lock etc preventing the shutter from dropping. Does anybody have experience of any other interlock that may prevent the shutter from being opened. I have tried holding in the OFF button, holding down the manual charging handle at the same time as trying to operate the shutter release, but with no joy.
If you need anymore detail which may help please post back.
Jeff
