I am trying to find the actual dimension ranges for the standard 1/4" and 3/8" square drive that you see on torque wrenches and socket sets. I need both the male drive dimensions and the female socket adapter dimensions.

Does anyone know off hand, or could point me to the correct ANSI standard? ANSI B107.1 is the closest I can find but I can't tell if it covers the square drives or just the hex sockets. Thanks.

See Machinery's Handbook or ASA B5.38-1958, American Standard Square Drives for Portable Air and Electric Tools.
