And here we go again. Brim's solution to climate change, replace everything.

Yeah, they may ban diesels. They banned fossil fuel power plants. Look how that worked.

We should all have purchased Colorados to drive down the price of fuel and lower CO2 emissions too

If we all bought diesels would it shut you up

It would shut us all up on account of the filthy fumes.

Got anything else to contribute besides bile?

Projector in Chief! You are a special breed, brimmer. You and ironic metallurgist, did you go to the same school in Toronto? Are you the same person?

Of course our 2 mendicant states, South Australia and Tasmania, both claim to be bignum% renewable, and both have had to buy or rent massive diesel powered generators for months after a time after they blew up their interconnectors which connect them to reliable electricity.

Cheers

OMG, I never even thought of that. They do act a lot alike. Come to think of it, I think there is a decent chance that they're the same person. Wasn't Ironic Metallurgist banned from the platform for the way he acted? I think I remember hearing something along those lines.

I know I was against it. Even though IronicMetallurgist drove me nuts sometimes, he did give an interesting perspective when he was being intentionally combative.

From his interesting but combative perspective about diesel fumes, the tier 4 engines are quite clean when working correctly. I have to wonder what the CO2 cost of all of the urea they're consuming is, though.

In fact, as California has required suppliers to evaluate the cancer potential their products via prop 65 and the FDA requires nutrition information on all food items, it's time we add a CO2 footprint to product labels. Absolutely CO2 cost should be included in Environmental Impact Reports.

Then again, this might upset the brimmers of the world as it would shoot their social renewal, replace everything plan full of holes.

I get the +ve sense in that, however I'm 100% certain that there'll be "rules" that allow you to "discount" some of your CO2 production, and it'll turn into a scam.

How would you push power producers to reduce their CO2 emissions ?

How do you push manufacturers to reduce their consumption of power ? An easy (but ineffective way) is to push component production offshore (so that the CO2 is produced somewhere else)

In another word, fraud. Isn't that what the whole zero carbon 'footprint' scam is about?

I think the mechanism that allows people/companies to gloat over their "zero carbon footprint" is open to a lot of abuse ... called it a scam or fraud it doesn't fix the problem.
