Fidn below information from the NX8.5 documentation:
______________________________________________________________________________

Shell in Synchronous Modeling hollows out a body with an adaptive shell. An adaptive shell consists of a wall thickness value and a collection of relations between selected shell faces and their respective offset partner faces.

Shell relations in an adaptive shell can maintain the wall thickness of the shell when changes are made to the model. For example, if you move a face in a shell body with the Move Face command, the shell partner updates to maintain the wall thickness of the shell.

The Shell family of commands let you create and maintain an adaptive shell:

•Shell Body creates a shell body and adds an adaptive shell to it. Faces are offset to form the shelled body and shell relations are added between partner faces. The wall thickness of the shell is the offset value of the shell relation.

•Shell Face adds faces to a shell body.

•Change Shell Thickness modifies the wall thickness of a shell body.

•Delete Face removes the walls of a shell body.

I know how to use it, my question is : How to find the information under information object type body ?

Didier, i don't understand this question. ( I am not that confident in Synchronous modeling)
If there is no history, Is the Shell Body still a feature ?
Or, do you want to know how one can see if the model has been "Shelled" when no features exist ?
- Does it matter ?

Tomas

Oops, i had the thread open when i left the computer and posted my reply when i returned a few hours later. ( Didiers explanation did not exist in my view.)
I understand your question but have no answer.

Regards,
Tomas
