Anyone have any experience with adding to a concrete edge ? The situation is this: we have a 10" PC plank cantileverd out to support a stone fascia that weighs about 55plf. The original detail called for a steel angle welded to an embed plate in the plank to support the stone. For a variety of reasons the edge detail has changed an now we're trying to come up with a way to extend the PC plank about 1-3/4" & support the stone directly off the concrete (with a little help from the angle). This detail occurs at both the ends and the sides of the plank. Doweling back into the plank and installing reinforcement is possible.
The question is this: is there a good bonding agent that can be used to "glue" the 1-3/4" exension to the plank edge in addition to the mechanical connection provided by reinforcement?
Thoughts and comments appreciated.
