Using Catia V5R19;

Without having to recreate the features and/or insert new bodies, is there a way I can take the features in one part and add them under a single body of another part?

Any response will be greatly appreciated!

Use Copy-Paste or Power Copy or User Defined Feature (Instantiate From Document...)

I want to use only the hole & pocket features and not the pad feature from one part to the other, can I do this?

Yes, one by one, not all of them at once. And probably you will need to edit them if (for example) the center hole will not be on something solid (pad or something else).

Well there is a trick that works if you have structured your model well. You can use "instantiate from selection" from the insert drop down menu, If I remember right you can only chose body sets, it will behave like a power copy on the fly, asking you for the new references.

So in your case you would need to group your holes into a body, just multi select them and right click and choose xxx.object/Insert in New. It's allright in Catia to have a body with holes and pockets, it will be a negative body. Swith to the receiving part and use the "instantiate from selection" and chose the body, the power copy instantiate window will then appear and ask you for new references for the features... you may be asked to choose where it should be inserted, destination, chose then after and pick a body

When I try to multi-select & group the features I’m getting the following error, “First selected feature cannot be an “Up-to-next\last” feature. My first hole feature is “Dimension” depth.

Yeah, that option will not work if you want to group the holes into their own body set... there is no natural "next" limit. Set it to blind and input an value

Do Patterns work as well as standard features? I’m trying to insert circular patterns but I keep getting an error “Error Pasting Data” The Destination Is Not Valid”.
