I am using NX6.0.3.6 and cannot add Tangent Point to my selection toolbar. It says that it is there but it does not show up in the toolbar anywhere. It does not come up as an option when I am working. Is this a bug or is there a workaround.

You have to understand that 'Tangent Point' is one of the options available in the 'Snap Point' section of the Selection Bar and like any other 'Snap Point' option, it will ONLY be seen when it is a valid 'Point' option for whatever function is currently being used. Under normal conditions, NONE of the Snap Points are visible, irrespective of whether the icon for that particular point has been enabled or not, unless the current function can actually use that Snap Point option or not.

At one time we turned them ALL ON, but grayed-out the ones that were no usable by the current function but the consensus was that that was confusing to people as it cluttered up the toolbar and required you to notice what was and what was not grayed-out and so we changed the code a while back so that the ONLY Snap Point options which would appear would be those valid for the entry that you were being asked to make. And so in your case, until you actually are in a function which can utilize the 'Tangent Point' method of selecting a Snap Point, you will never actually see the icon on the Selection Bar.

I hope that make this a bit more clear as to how this works.

That makes perfect sense and clears up a lot of things. Thanks for your help.
