AL 6XN Clad 2:1 Elliptical heads

is it possible to form a head using carbon steel plate with AL 6XN clad material or is the clad material typically added by welding? Are there any tank heads manufacturers that do this? I am getting alot of no quotes.

Yes it is possible. The two head fabricators I trust for this particular job would be Brighton in Ohio and Antonius in the Netherlands

In re to MJ note: DMC makes the clad plate by explosion bonding, but does not make heads. Ametek makes roll bonded plate, but not heads
