Hi Everyone,

Often, we design our structures with material grades corresponding to one grade pertaining to one standard and during construction, depending on availability, equivalent grade pertaining to other standards are selected. From EN standards to ASTM standards or vice versa. Mostly key parameters like yield strength and modulus are being checked. Are there any other parameter which gets missed often or lies in blind spot? Trying to avoid any random errors here.

Thanks in advance!

Welding requirements/ hydrogen embrittlement, if applicable.
Brittle-ductile transition temperatures and impact energy, if impact is a consideration.

Don't worry about modulus, as long as you are using steels they are all the same.
Elongation is also critical.
