Hi everyone,

does someone know where to find some altymid plates, ageing tests (lifetime) and prices?

we need a lifetime of 8 years at 300°C in ambiant atmosphere, do you think this high temperature polymer could bear these high temperature?

Thank you for yourhelp... That was the first thing I read... I'm looking for more useful information...

As a guess, as the max temp stated is 315 (or 317)deg C, I would assume that is for short term excursions rather than continuous. It is probably also under zero stress.

Cynic? Moi?

To answer your question - probably not.

That confirms what I was thinking, but I have no proof for that, and I have to justify my choices on facts... Celazole is really better, but what an expensive price!

So what's wrong with Al ceramic or Steel?

Have you tried calling DuPont. They came up near the top of my first google search as a manufacturer of polyimide.

They normally supply excellent technical support.

They can certainly recommend a converter to you from their customer list.
