I have a solid a solid aluminum valve which I am needing to run a air hose from. The air will be 150 psi max. I have so far been unable to find a solid aluminum flexible air hose that has 1/4" npt threads.

The only configuration is a stainless steel braided hose with anodized aluminum fittings. Would this set up not corrode? It is a very expensive valve and I want to ensure no damage is done to it. Below is a link to the stainless hose.

If anyone knows another way to do this I would greatly appreciate it or if this setup will have no corrosion that is fine. Thanks I. Advance for the help, I have no knowledge about metal compatibility and I am trying to learn. Thanks.

If its dry air, you won't have a problem period. No electrolyte to form a galvanic couple. If the air is slightly moist probably no problem.

The SS does not touch Al on the inside where it could get wet.
Now if you get salt water on the outside it might corrode, but not the internals.

The air will be coming from a standard consumer air compressor. So there will be some water I am guessing since I live in a humid environment but I am not near the ocean, so salt should be minimal.

Would the anodized aluminum have any long term affect against non anodized aluminum?

Are you two saying this is my best bet and I should have nothing to worry about? This will be an application wear this will be used for 15-20 years.

Thanks again.

If this an expensive and critical valve, I wouldn't rely on an anonymous forum. Pay a consultant for 1/2 hour work.

This is a personal project and that is why I am going to this forum. Any help would be appreciated.
