Currently I have Hysys Amines available for modeling purposes. On my MEA systems it seems to work pretty well; however, on my MDEA systems I'm having problems getting realistic output from my models, and I'm considering building a case for purchasing some other amine modeling software.

I know there are some other amine modeling software tools out there. The most popular probably being TSweet and ProTreat, but I've never used any of them personally. I'd like to poll the eng-tips community on the favorite process simulator for amine systems, in particular I'm interested in modeling MDEA based SRU tail gas treaters.

The amine vendors will also model the process and you'll need to use their similations if you want a mixed amine based around MDEA (propritory mixture). Huntsman will do this for sure.

I use WinSim and have seen VMG in operation. Another is AMSIM out of Canada.
