Hi,

I have a bunch of parts in a product, and each of these parts has a 3d annotation (located in the part itself). I'm making a drawing of the product - is there a way to get the annotations from the parts to show up in the product drawing?

Thanks!

In the CATdrawing use View from 3d. Then pick the annotation view plane of the annotated part. From here you should be able to align the views and you should be in business.

Thanks. I would do that, but I have maybe 30 parts in my product. This would mean an additional 30 views on the page. Is there a way to just get the annotations to show up?

Yes, the view from 3D is tied to the annotation view you select. If you annotated all items at the assembly level then this problem would go away but I prefer the independent part being annotated.

Thanks for your help. I understand both these approaches. Guess I'm just being greedy by wanting a solution where I can make one view of a product AND keep the annotations in the parts.
Doesn't seem that can be done. Thanks anyway :)
