Bridge Man - the CPCI has a free design manual with examples.

Bridgebuster,

Thanks Man, but the CSA S6 is for bridges in specific and I was kind of hoping to find some steel design examples in it.

Much appreciated

The National Steel Bridge Alliance & Federal Highway Administration developed steel bridge examples. They’re free. I can’t imagine AASHTO is vastly different from the CSA, except you folks up north use that weird measurement system.

A lot of the CSA code is actually "borrowed" from ASHTO.

Very true guys, am actually an AASHTO / AISC user in the US and as I started using the CSA codes am seeing the resemblance

That's interesting. 20 years ago I took a week long course on AASHTO LRFD - talk about agony [hairpull] - one instructor said AASHTO "borrowed" a lot from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Code.

I have the CSA code but never studied it in depth. The CPCI Bridge Manual and the PCI Bridge Manual virtually look alike, except for the units.
