Good morning,

I have been given some old API pump datasheets (dated 1979), where cooling water piping plans were specified. Unfortunately, I cannot recognize these cooling water piping plans, since most probably at that time a different name convention was used.
To be more specific, the encountered API cooling water plans are:
- J
- K
- C.

I would really appreciate if someone could help with these plans and provide some information on which where the specifications at that time.

Thank you.

Having just reread your question, i don't think I helped you, at all.

COOLING PLAN J – COOLING TO STUFFING BOX/SEAL CHAMBER
JACKET WITH PARALLEL FLOW TO HEAT EXCHANGER

COOLING PLAN K – COOLING TO STUFFING BOX/SEAL CHAMBER JACKET AND BEARING HOUSING IN SERIES WITH PARALLEL FLOW TO HEAT EXCHANGER

COOLING PLAN C – COOLING TO STUFFING BOX/
SEAL CHAMBER JACKET

There is a Dean/MetPro document that shows the differences, if you do a google search and find this one, it's fairly clear:
