I am trying to apply surface force on lateral surface of solid cylinder in vertical direction on my working plane, but not normal to the surface (pressure).I wonder how can I load my model in static test?

can you converted the pressure to force, N and applied to the direction.

I did so, I applied the equivalent force on the target nodes. ANASYS gave me an error and was closed suddenly. Is there any way to properly apply force to the large number of nodes over a surface?

You can generate SURF154 element on the solid cylinder exterior face and apply the corresponding load to SURF154 elements.

Thank you so much Shu. It was quite helpfull.

I used SURF154 and the deformation is that I expected, but it works well when solving for small displacement, but in case of nonlinear static analysis solution was not converged, is there any limitation in NLGEOM analysis for this element? I set KEYOPT(2)=1 and the rest options are as default. How can I overcome this issue?

SURF154 can be used in nonlinear and large deflection scenario. The KEYOPT(2)=0 should be set. You may look other setups if it is not convergent.
