Hi!
I have to integrate 20 units Areva Micom P139 feeder manager and protection relays, using IEC 61850 protocol in to a Cybectec SMP16 gateway.
I have already integrated others IEC61850 IED (ABB, Siemens and Eberle)but still have problems with AREVA (the ICD file).

The communication setting (IP..., IED name...etc) in the ICD file exported with Micom S1 Studio are not parametrized.

In the thread238-219556 Yolov had the same problem...and Nick75 says about a software tool to convert the Areva (mcl file to a cid file).
What about this software ? Any experience with IEC61850 Areva IED integration in to other mfg. systems ?

Best regards and thank you for your support,

Marco

Hi Marco1966.
According to some data, isn't simple issue.
I again recommend ask Areva for the help, maybe isn't SW tool, it will be some gateway.
Regards.

Hi Marco1996,

AFAIK.. Areva's IED that has 61850 capability only those that has digit "4" in the middle.. such as P14x..P74x.. etc. CMIIW..

Regarding the ICD files of P139, which type are you having at the moment? is it 613 or 614 ? If 613, is it 209 or 210 ?You need to have the correct ICD file that exactly match with your P139 from your supplier.

When you have it, to have the IP address to be written in the ICD, just open the file with any text editor, and change following rows with appropriate address as per your system.

<Address>
<P type="IP">0.0.0.0</P>
<P type="IP-SUBNET">0.0.0.0</P>
<P type="IP-GATEWAY">0.0.0.0</P>
</Address>

ICD file is nothing but an XML file.

But remember, to be able to be integrated to your system, first rule in 61850 tells that you must have SCD of your system which is generated by your engineering tool.
Otherwise, you can't do anything, or you have to recreate the appropriate the SCD file from scracth.

Some steps which I can recommend to expand your system is as follows:
First, have your SCD in hand.
Second, modify your SCD by importing additional ICD to be integrated, do some relation between IED in your SCD.
Third, export/import updated-SCD to your Gateway using your Gateway Configurator tool, parallelly export/import updated-SCD to have updated-ICD for each IED in your system.
Forth, populate updated-ICD into each respective IED use each IED appropriate configurator tool.

again, CMIIW..
