Hi
Have been asked to design some unreinforced rectangular stormwater drainage pits.
Assuming the size will be limited to a point where the maximum tensile strength of the concrete is not exceeded, so 600-900mm maximum wall widths.
Just wondering how the minimum reinforcement requirements of walls can be achieved in accordance with AS3600? The request has been made for the walls to be 250mm in thickness.
The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia has some standard documentation similar to this however their walls are only shown as 150mm.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers.
