Hello guys,

Disclaimer first that i am very newbie on FEA simulation and wanna simulate a model in Solidwork Static Simulation.

As figure above, a pipe is getting radial force by a component. The radial force is defined 300k lbf.
But as you guys see on figure above, there is an abnormal pressure found on one teeth which the von misses stress is highly exceeded than other teeth.

Do i have set the wrong input on my interaction ? btw i am using local interaction as depicting below:

Hopely you may guide me on this,
before many thanks.

You should significantly refine the mesh in this area (for both parts) so that you can get correct results from contact region.

Do you mean control mesh on both area ? how about my interaction sir, did it already true ?

Yes, you should apply local mesh controls to this area. In SolidWorks Simulation this option is not very intuitive but should let you achieve better mesh.

When it comes to contact interactions, make sure that all necessary surface pairs are included and contact type is set no penetration.
