Good day,

I am currently looking to take a course into ASME piping design. In your experience, what piping design course do you recommend me to take?

I will be working with pipe lines transporting dry air at hot temperatures, so I am interested in learning:

-Considerations for supports. (fix supports, axial guides, hangers, etc.)
-Material and thickness selection.
-Flexible components selection. (expansion joints, flex hoses, etc).
-Structural validation, ensure the whole pipe line from fix point to fix point will withstand the design conditions.
-Best practices.

I am mentioning ASME because the work will be for US, more specifically a testing laboratory.

Thanks in advance,

P.P.

Hot air in testing lab at what pressures and temperatures? Most likely B31.3, but that depends upon P&T.

Thanks for the reply pmover,

The Pressure ranges will be from 0-350 psig.
Temperatures from -20F to 1500F.

Regards,

P.P.
