ASME Sec.IX JIMMY JAMMER Welding Type

I know this is in a AWS forum but i need information in regards to ASME Sec.IX.

Does the JIMMY JAMMER seen in the attached picture really meet the ASME SEC.IX definition of semiautomatic welding as advertised, and not fall into the definition of machine welding?

I don't see how this can be semi-automatic. The gun is held by a mechanical device...which is machine welding, per definition in QG-109.2
