Hi there, I am fairly new to CATIA and have done mostly single part FEA.

I am currently working on a suspension system for a project which has a mount (that will be clamped on one face) with two holes which a screw will go through to hold a ball joint rod end which is free to rotate in a half circle distance.

Ball joint rod end: (male threaded)
The structure consists of: the mount, the ball joint rod end, a screw, a bolt, and two washers.

Because the contact between the mount and the ball joint varies with motion I am having difficulty setting up the analysis connection. And due to the surface of the screw not being smooth, I was having difficulty setting up the analysis between that and both the mount and the ball joint. Also, can I remove the bolt and washers and just simulate them with a fastened connection property? Any advice/tips/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!\
