Hi guys,

I have a huge assembly. I want them all to have some attributes like: Name in German, Name in English, Size.

My assembly looking kinda like this:

- Assembly 0
- Assembly 1
- Part 1
- Part 2
- Assembly 2
- Assembly 3
- Part 3
- Part 4
- Assembly 4
- Part 5
- Part 6

and so on...

Thank you very much
Martin

you should have a look at "attribute templates"
This should , if I understood it correctly , provide you all the attributes in all your files.

Hello,

I have created an attribute template:

Attributes:
- Name DE
- Name EN
- Info
- Material

Somehow NX is creating out of 'Material' a NX attribute: NX_Material..

Someone knows how to prevent NX to create this NX_Material

The NX_Material is locked and i cant change it... :(

Thank you
Martin

The default setting when you install NX is that the option that Gelsonnicoletto mentioned :
"Under customer defaults > Gateway > materials/mass - Part attributes", is set.
This will , when you assign a material using the NX material library , also create the attribute with the name that can be set under the same customer defaults.
Once set, this attribute can ONLY be changed from the Assign Materials dialog-s because it is linked both to the material which is applied/assigned to the solid body and also the material table.
It is not "just a simple attribute" because of these links.

If you want an "attribute only" which is not associated to the specific body, nor connected to material properties, you probably need to name this attribute "My_material" or something similar, or you change the customer defaults to use a different name.

Tomas
