Attributes to Expression link break in Part family instances - NX11 2

Hi,

While working in Part Families in NX11, created user defined attribute in Template and linked to expression in the Template part(same data type, dimensionality and units).The link is not intact in instances.

For example, Template part is "Part" and instance is "Part-1".
Expression in Template "Part" is "Dia" and given value is 10.
Attribute in Template "Part" is "Att_Dia" linked to expression "Dia" and value shown is 10.

Created an instance "Part-1" with varying "Dia" value as 15
Expression in "Part-1" shows "Dia" value 15 and model is updated accordingly. But Attribute in Instance "Part-1" is still showing 10 (inherited from Template) and not 15.

The same method worked perfectly in NX8.5 but not in NX11.
Need help in maintaining the link for instances in NX11.

Sounds like a bug to me. Have you reported it to Gtac?
Which Maintenance release and or Maintenance Pack are you on?

I'm using NX 11.0.2.7 MP3 version and maintenance pack.

I just tried what you describe in NX 11.0.2.7 MP6 (current) and it worked fine, i.e. Part-1 had its Att_dia changed to 15...

Is the Expression Formula value and "value" column for Att_dia in listed attibutes under Part Attributes are same for instance?

Yes it is working fine with NX11 MP6.The problem is with MP3.
Now the problem is solved with MP6 update.
