Hi everyone,
Is there any Plugin available for modeling Auxetic material in abaqus?
If not, what is the way of modeling auxetic without subroutine?
By the way, thanks for answering

There is a plug-in for that, it's named PyAuxetic. You can find its open-source version on github. There's also a paper related to this plug-in: "An Abaqus plugin for evaluation of the Auxetic structure performance" by A.R. Sangsefidi et al.

However, this plug-in just makes it easier to model auxetic structures (re-entrant or chiral/anti-chiral). It's still possible to create them without any add-ons. And you can even perform simulations on simplified homogenous models were auxetcity is induced by specifying negative Poisson's ratio in material properties.

Thanks
But I have another problem which is, I don't know how to model a negative Poisson's ratio. I mean I'm not sure whether abaqus accept it or not,
because I am not familiar with subroutine writing and I searching for a simple way of defining negative Poisson.
So after all, can you suggest me a simple way of defining this material?

I'll be thankful of your help

You can input negative Poissons’s ratio, in Abaqus it will work. Give it a try.

And if you want to model auxeticity caused by shape, not material, then draw the structure and assign regular material (like steel) with positive Poisson’s ratio to it.
