Available FEA software for ASME Class 1 piping. 1

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for software that will do ASME Class 1 (and C2, C3 + B31.1) stress checking including fatigue.

I have used Superpipe, but the software is pretty outdated.

I have also tried CAEPipe and thought that the GUI setup was great, easy to work with and quick to complete an analysis. Unfortunately it doesn't do Class 1.

The only option I have found that is viable so far is ADLPipe from REI. Are there any other programs that use a quick and easy GUI with Class 1 checking?

Unfortunately, since there have been no new nuclear plants built in the US for many years, none of the modern, user friendly pipe stress software programs - CaePipe, Caeser, Autopipe, offers class 1 analysis. Probably too much work (addding thermal transients, stress indices, etc) for too little payback for them. I believe Autopipe offers a nuclear QA option for class 2 and B31.1, but nothing for class 1.

ADLPipe probably has the best user interface for class 1 analysis. good luck

I think I have found one other program: ROHR2

It's a company out of Germany named SIGMA.

I also made a mistake about CAEPipe...it does do Class 1 with an add on package called Pipe Stress.

ADLPIPE is one of the only piping software products to carry out ASME Class 1 analysis and is fully NRC accredited.

REI no have a more user friendly version called ADLPIPE.Pro, you should check it out.

Look into PIPESTRESS by DST Computer Services. This is one of the few programs that is kept up to date and has a very good quality control system, which is important for nuclear applications. They usually provide a trial version for some time.
