Hello everyone;
I would appreciate if someone could tell if there exists a standard for available commercial thicknesses for PV&B plates equivalent to ASME B36.10M for pipe. And for tank plates?
Thank you.

It varies depending on the source. If buying sufficient quantities from a mill, you can get it rolled to any desired thickness. If buying stock plate from a distribution center, you will be limited to the thicknesses they stock.

Our supplier has by the 1/8" up to 2" thick, then by the 1/4" thereafter - I'm referring to SA-516 Gr70 plate.

From memory, SA-516-70 plate is generally available in 1/16" increments from 3/16" thick to 1/2" thick, 1/8" increments from 1/2" thick to 1 1/2" thick, and 1/4" increments above 1 1/2" thick.

vesselfab,
Don't laugh we had 6 filter bodies fabricated where we used 12" Class 2500 flanges on the discharge end. The mating flange to the body flange was a cover plate with a 4" Class 2500 WNF attached and reinforced with a 3/16" thick plate of the appropriate material, duly attached with the required weep hole. The actual calculations submitted call for a 1/16" pad.
