B16.5 raised face flanges question

Hi,

I'm trying to determine the OD of the raised face portion on a B16.5 flange (class 150 and 300).

If you're reading B16.5-2009, would this be the dimension "Diameter of Hub, X" in column 4 of Table II-8 (pg. 162) of this standard?

It looks an awful lot like the Diameter of Hub is the same as the diameter of the raised face for threaded, slip-on welding, socket welding, blind and welding neck flanges. But I've learned not just go off what it looks like the drawing is trying to say.

Can someone please verify this? Any help is appreciated.

Figure F7 and Table F4 is what you should refer to find the dimension of the raised face portion of the flange.

Stupid question, but I've looked through B16.5-2009 and can't find these tables and figures, where are they? Have they become Mandatory appendices I, II or III? Or in Nonmandatory Appendices A, B, C, D, E?

There is no appendix F in this new version.

I was looking in the 2003 version...just downloaded the 2009 version.

They're now Figure II-7 and Table II-4. pages 155 and 107.

Gorpomon,
Raised Face dia. is not addressed in B16.5
This Standard permits flat face flanges in all classes (6.3.1), and a raised face may be removed from a raised face flange to convert it to a flat face flange (6.3.2).

Raised Face dia. is mostly made according to "Diameter of Lap, G" of B16.9 Table 9 / I-9: Dimensions of Lap Joint Stub Ends.
