We do not have a copy of B18.3 and not in the budget to purchase one. We really have had no other need for the spec but for this rare case. If this request is not acceptable on this forum, my apologies.
Machinery's Handbook (21st Edition, pg. 1202) doesn’t address manufacturer tolerences. I am looking for the length tolerence of dim “L” on that specific page.
I did pose my question to our vendor but they could only steer me to B18.3.
My question, what is the length tolerance for the fully threaded portion of a socket head cap screw. Specifically, for ¼-20 x .75 long and 1 long. I imagine the tolerences will be the same for those lengths.

Thanks,
KJV

Length (L) tolerance is listed as -.03 on lengths upto 1.00 inch and 0 thru 3/4 diameter.
Taken from ASME B18.3-2003
