A recent death in the family (and cool post from JRB) have spurred me to begin digitizing boxes of slides from my parents and grandparents.
My Granddad took a number of pictures of the aftermath of the 1963 Dam failure. It failed after only being in service for a little over 10 years. There are pictures from inside the reservoir, outside the dam, in the neighborhood that was flooded, and in the power plant area which was (I believe) on top of the reservoir basin.
I believe that these were all taken weeks after the failure. Maybe even a few months. So, that's why you'll see a lot of debris stacked together and cleaned up.
