im asking about the selection of bearing for bb3 pumps and whats standards do i need to follow to chose between sleeve bearings and ball type bearings

For BB3 type axially split multi-stage centrifugal pumps, one of the industry standard is API 610.

The bearing selection mainly depends on factors such as pump speed (RPM), horse power, mean bearing diameter, desired bearing life, etc etc.
