Best Comunication between UG and Pro-Engineer

Hi all

I am trying to send a UG file to someone who uses Pro-Engineer. I've had no success with iges, when opened
the sheets are distorted. Parasolid can't be opened.
STEP has the same affect. Have sent the actual UG part
file but when opened in Pro-Eng. the end result is not
what it should be. Has anyone any suggestions
as to what format I can use?

How was the file created in UG?

From your 'sheets were distorted', it is not a solid body. Try an export and reimport into UG and see what happens. If you have the same problems, then you may need to rempdel the UG part. We have flound that the Pro/E translators are more forgiving than the UG ones, so if there is a problem with the Pro/E import, look at the originating export.

If you don't succeed with rempdelling, try remodelling your part.
