Boiler tube heavy rupture

Dear all

I need your gentlemen's advice on this.

In the event of heavy rupture of a tube in a water tube boiler, do you need to continue pumping the water as to maintain the water level in the drum, or do you stop once you noticed the tube rupture?

If you have a large rupture, continue to keep the feedwater flowing into the boiler and shut the boiler down.
