Bonding of Fibreglass to Perspex

We have a helicopter perspex panel which has a fibreglass edging thru which it is fastened to the airframe.
The fibreglass has delaminated and needs repair.

The fibrelass edging avoids the need for fastener holes in the perspex. The perspex is sandwiched between 2 layers of fibrelass, and the resin used bonds the fibreglass edging to the perspex.

It is my understanding that Epoxy does not bond to perspex and we suspect that the OEM used an Acrylic resin in the original layup. Has anybody out there had experience that they can share on suitable resins for this application.

Thank You

I was into the same problem gluing plexi to fiberglas.
I do know that one of the "Sika" products can do the job, but PU body sealer single component can do the job too.
But make sure that the sealer has a little thicknes.. so it can take temperature moves from the diffent materials.

Wairau,
I assume that your "perspex" is acrylic. We once made a mould out of acrylic sheet and attempted to cast small objects in a polyester resin and q-cells mix. The result was that we simply could not remove the castings from the acrylic! The acrylic had been well waxed with mould release wax as well!
Try a little polyester resin and q-cells somewhere on the material and see if it bonds, you can always sand it off.
Naturally, it will stick to the fibreglass edging.
