Hello,

Within the .prt which I am currently working on, I do not want view borders in drafting. I have gone to Menu->Preferences->Names/Borders: I have unchecked the box labeled "Show Model View Borders" When I bring in a base view, it still has the border. Can you please help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance

You need to go to the 'Drafting Settings' to control that behavior. The Setting you've changed only has an effect when you're in Modeling with more than one View in your Layout.

Hi John,

Do you mean "Drafting Preferences?" If I go to Drafting Preferences->View->Base/Drawing I only have the option of choosing "Settings" or "Label," neither of which have anything about view borders. Could you please walk me through what exactly I need to change? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Menu -> preferences -> drafting -> view -> workflow -> border -> turn off the "display" option.

This will only affect new views created in the current part. You can hide existing view borders in a similar location on the view settings dialog. If you want to hide the view borders in all new parts, open your drawing template and make the same changes there, then save the template.

Thanks Cowski,

I just needed to look in workflow instead of Base/Drawing, Thanks!
