Bottom timber plate connection to concrete

Hey guys. I Have a M12 bolt that i use pr 500mm in bottom timber plate which is subjected to shear 5 kN.

How can i show that she timberplate will not be destructed?

Can anyone show me a calculation of that? I use a timber C25 45x95.

Because i know what the bolt can take but not the timber.

What code are you designing to?

It would make sense to me that whatever code you use would have design information for bolts loaded perpendicular to grain of lumber. Note: The capacity is quite low.

In the US, NDS, which is available for free online, has design provisions and equations in Chapter 12 for bolts loaded both parallel and perpendicular to grain. These equations are based on the European Yield Models that you can find extensive information online simply by searching the phrase "European Yield Model".
