Break Out Section (Non Section Components)

I am trying to create a Break-Out Section with non sectioned components. When I create the parent imported view (custom saved view) I am selecting my non-sectioned components. I then define my break out boundary spline and apply the Break-Out Section. Some of my non-section components are being sectioned.

Is there a procedure for adding non-sectioned components to a break-out section so I do not have to keep re-creating the parent view?

OK, I got how to add non-section components EDIT > VIEW > SECTION COMPONENTS IN VIEW. However, some of my "non sectioned components" are still being sectioned in the Break-Out Section. NOT all of them, and they are all in the same REF SET and LAYER.

Someone please help!!

Have you tried adding the 'non-section' Attribute to the Component?

If not, select the Component(s) that you wish to NOT section and add an Atrribute titled...

SECTION-COMPONENT

...and set the value to either YES or NO as desired.

I don't think there's a consolidated list, but rather they are documented relative to the specific areas where they are relevant.

Thanks John, that's a really useful tip. I have realised that the components I want to see do not intersect the cutting plane for the section. They are on the "removed" side of the section plane and are completely removed. Is there any way I can perform a breakout but only section one component. I want to cut away the hull of a military vehicle to show the location of some components in the operator stations.

We don't have a 'only section this Component' Attribute. You either have to assign the no-section attribute to all the other components are use the 'Section in View' function to select those components which you wish to NOT section.
