Hello All;
This is my first post so I hope it’s not a waste of anyone’s time.. I was wondering if anyone else has had a difficult time achieving a good conical break when using the unbonded cap method when testing concrete with fiber in the mix?? I understand that when using neoprene pads you are running the risk that there might be a funky break, but I’ve noticed that when there's fiber in the mix things don’t go so smooth (Break)... If anyone has experienced this and has some advice I’d love to hear it...

Thanks Folks..

Depending on fiber distribution within the cylinder, the stress distribution in the cylinder can be funky as well. Correlate a few with sulphur caps to check.
