Venezuela?
I haven't seen concrete bend like that since I left the turd world.
North America is a continent, South America is a continent.
Central America is incontinent.
It is common to use way too much water in the mix so that the concrete is easy to mix and to place.
After the concrete sets, the excess water eventually migrates out of the body of the concrete leaving it porous with greatly reduced compressive strength.

and lower strength concrete due to the higher W:C ratio tends to deform more plastically <G>.

Never seen so many pop-ups in a site. The site is always moving. No wonder the bridge failed. The whole country, whatever it is, is unstable!

Mike, install adblock plus. It's a free extension for firefox and chrome and I had no pop-ups. It'll change your life. If you're using microsoft edge, then you deserve any issues you may be having [tongue]

Mike -- It is apparently the continuous top chord over a support. So a tension member.

Citizens have been raising the alarm and complaining to the government about the bridges condition since at least 2013, maybe 2010. The alternate fact is the opposition sabotaged the bridge on Monday. The inverse alternate fact is that the national government is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure. Probably neither story is true, both being alternate facts.

It doesn't look so bendy in this picture.
