Dear friends,

I'm looking for the Bridge design practice manual (Caltrans) circa 1995. If anyone has
a digital copy that can share or a hard copy that it's willing to sell, please let me know.

Thank you!

Hi retired13!

Thank you for your help. The link that you posted is working, however, the link that should contains the information sent me to the Caltrans webpage and I could not find it. It seems to me that the link is broken.

You are correct. It looks like this manual is discontinued. Maybe you can give Caltrans a call to find the availability.

I have some of these publications, including some that date back to the 60's. They're in my DropBox.

bb,

There is a thread (in eng general topics) asking about bridge rating and demolition, I was wondering why neither you, nor Rod, hasn't said anything. I believe both of you can provide insights and contribute.

@ING_RCG - you're very welcome

@retired13 - I took some time off. Lockdown is getting to me.

Well, good luck, hope everything is coming back to normal soon.

I haven't been on in a while; now that I'm out of the Pub, I forget to check in. I'll take a look at the other thread, though.

Greeting - glad to see both of you coming back.

Bridgebuster: thank you so much for sharing a pdf of the "Bridge Design Practice Correspondence Course".

My previous employer's edition stated that for the live load the sidesway correction is not applied, and it stated that this was not necessary because of the nature of the dynamic loading. I wish I had that edition, but am still very happy as I thought I would never see any edition of the book again!
