can i keep it plugged in?

hello university, im a huge fan,
so i just bought a new lenovo laptop and it comes with a energy manager app, im currently using the conservative mode or maximum baterry life that only let me charge it to 60% then it says 60% (plugged in, not charging) and i use the laptop plugged in
the question is: can i let the charger connected to the laptop all day without harming the battery without harming it? or it keeps charging or its worse?
i can't take the battery off the computer coz it cas no removable battery, i have to open the bottom of the laptop and unplug it and take it out

My laptop does that all the time. You do need to shutdown, remove and put the battery back. That seems to be the only way to reset the the power controller to behave correctly. I don't think it's due to the app.

Nonetheless, continuously plugged in should not be a problem.

i downt think you understand my question, te conservative modes of my laptop let it only charge to 60% max so it takes care of my battery, the quesion is can i let it plugged in with that mode witouht harming my battery?

I agree with IRstuff's answer: yes, you can leave it plugged in forever. This assumes their charge algorithm is any good and prevents overcharging (overheating).

That said, your 60% max charge concept to 'save battery life' is probably wrong. That brand is supposed to have 15 sec hold time when calling tech support: I suggest you use the free tech support and call them to find out how to fix your laptop.

leave the battery in place otherwise it will deteriorate permanently, can take several months to recover near full charge if you have let it go too long

near full charge is safe
