Hello,

I'm using NX11 and when I am creating a sketch I can't create dimensions between my sketch and the WCS. A 10 second job has turned in a 10 minute job.
In NX6 this could be done so why not in NX11.

Thanks for any help and advice

Matt

Is your selection scope correct?

Does there exist a "datum csys" before , in the feature tree, this sketch ?

Thank you for your replies

The model was made in NX6 and would have had "Positioning Dimensions" added to it, which I know restricts you from adding dimensions between sketch and WCS. However, in NX11 all positional dimensions have been removed so I would have thought I would now be able to dimension to the WCS.

I have even tried right-clicking on the sketch lines and selecting "Remove All Constraints and then trying again.

This model is not in an assembly so my selection scope can not be the issue.

Regarding the last comment on selection scope, - read the possible options, seen above, once more.

Hi Matt,
Attention to the terms used: It has never been possible to dimension to "WCS", but only "DATUM CSYS" !!!
