CE Marking on Raw Material EN10028-2 10CRMo910

Hi,
I need to manufacture exhaust stack with EN10028 10CrMo910 material and this has to be CE marked as well. My question is" Do we have to have the raw material CE certified to make this product?"
I contacted 2 mills in Germany & they said this material will come under CE marking. Now am in bad situation. Anybody can help me out to clear this matter.

Can raw materials, like sheet metal or bar metal, be even bought with a CE mark? Isn't CE-marking applicable on products and assemblies rather than base materials? Can you buy CE-marked sand or iron ore? Or can buy CE-marked glasses or steel structures?

CE marking? I doubt that this is done. Probably material certificates and batch (charge) number on the raw material but I have never seen a CE on a raw material.

Depends on the applicable Regulation/Directive
E.g.
Construction Products Regulation (CPR) requires CE-marking on the materials like plate, beams, ...
Pressure Vessel Directive (PED) requires CE-marking on the finished pressure equipment.
Materials CE-marked to CPR need to be contained either in an harmonized EN-standard for construction steels or an European Technical Assessment (ETA) shall be established.
EN 10028 is an harmonized standard for pressure vessel steels and not for construction steels. An ETA is not existing for 10CrMo910. Therefore CE-marking of the materials is not possible.
