Good morning,

I know this may seem a really simple question but haven't been able to find it neither here nor google. What exactly does center-to-face dimensions? I suppose it's the distance between the "beginning" of the inlet/outlet orifice to the center of the PSV. Am I assuming wrong?

Thanks for the responses
Martineet

PS: I suppose I don't get the exact meaning as I am not a native spearker nor have high experience in technical E

Hi. 'Centre to Face' in API-526 speak relates to the 2 dimensions necessary to know for installing a PRV. They are 1. The distance from the inlet face to the centre of the outlet, and 2. The distance from the outlet face to the centre of the inlet (or the central axis of the PRV in a vertical position).

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.

PRV centre to face dimensions as represented by the dimensions E & F in the attached sketch (note. Letters other than E & F can be used between manufacturers).

See also my article on API-526 in the FAQ's of this forum.

Thanks a lot for your clarification!

Now I'm totally sure about what it is :D
