CGM-file as text

I have a CATDrawing-file containg a drawing. I would like to convert it to a CGM-file to import into UG. I have managed to create a CGM through tools/image but when imported into UG it is only lines and the "filled" letters are made up by small lines. I would like to have a "lighter" font.
How do I change so that the CGM is created as text? Can I change the font?
