Hi,
I want to simulate the deformation of a hyperelastic seal during vacuum.
The seal sits on a "cage" with ribs (restrictor to prevent the seal from collapsing into the vacuum chamber) and a sealing surface, I want to understand how will the seal deform in order to see if I need to change the cage and restrictor to prevent the seal from collapsing into the hole it is supposed to seal.
Since the area on which the pressure is subjected on the seal during this process changes (depends on the interaction of the seal and the cage / restrictor) I was wondering if there is some way to set the pressure BC such that it will change with the change in contact between the seal and the cage / restrictor.
Thanks.
